Throughout my work in academia, theatre, film/television, and corporate learning, I’ve planned and produced many events. Below are a few samples spanning industries.

Academia: The CVUHSD Business Partner Breakfast and Academy Expo

As the Pathway Connections Specialist at Centinela Valley Union High School District (Lawndale, CA), I was responsible for producing many community events including a Career Fair, Maker Fair, portfolio reviews, and the annual Business Partner Breakfast and Academy Expo.

At this event, we invited our 70+ industry mentors, intermediary partners, college professors and matriculation experts, workforce development board members, faculty, dignitaries, and student representatives to listen to updates to our programming and learn how to get involved. We shared out updates on our work-based learning opportunities and data on how we were working towards preparing our 10k+ students for careers and further education in 11 of California’s largest industry sectors.

In addition to tasty breakfast delights, the event included a pre-show sizzle reel sharing photos of our learning experiences and events, presentation by stakeholders, student demonstrations, and networking time.

Corporate: Blizzard University Orientation Day Event

While working at Blizzard Entertainment, my small but mighty L&D Team launched a global orientation day to kick off the rebranding of our comprehensive learning and development offerings at the company. The event consisted of over 30 live and hybrid classes, an employee resource group “rush” fair, catered lunch, goal setting workshops, event passports, keynote addresses, swag giveaways and more! Check out some the activations experienced by employees and my role in making it all happen!
