Adrian, Head of Inclusive Design
“Angie is an incredible force. She is the embodiment of what is means to be a professional that builds immense curiosity and learning opportunities for a team, and further, to ensure that teams are fostered in a way that sparks inspiration, action, and innovation…She was able to curate impactful learning sessions with specific interests that our creative teams were exploring, and helped to shepherd teams towards a more expansive and informed perspective to explore these interests with as much context, knowledge, and craft expertise beyond what they would have ever dreamed possible. I know that when it comes to learning and development, it can be exceptionally hard to draw a direct line from organizing a learning opportunity to an outcome that is delivers in a product – however, I can say with certainty that Angie’s comprehensive work and holistic approach to craft learning and education has been a key element in building the wisdom and confidence in teams to be their absolute best and brightest version of themselves possible.”
Eric, Organizational Development
“Angie oversaw our global training program that educated game developers on historical events, cultural customs and designs, and unique experiences in order to ensure our games reflected the most accurate and authentic feel for our players. Her programs were consistently ranked among the most influential of any L&D program we offered due to the direct preparation it offered our artists, animators, and designers. Perhaps no other individual has had more of an impact on the way our organization approaches game design than Angie, which is also a testament to her skills in vendor management, project management, and strategic planning.
As a former high school teacher Angie also has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to measuring and assessing learning outcomes beyond mere satisfaction scores. Angie knows how to design training programs that align with business goals, demonstrating a clear understanding of how best to use limited resources. Angie has secured funding grants from state workforce commissions that have enabled new grads to get their ‘foot in the door’ with a career in game development (and has also counseled them on how to successfully transition from an academic environment to a corporate one).
I am so grateful for the time that we worked together, and for the inspiration I gained from her laser focus on building the best culture possible through training. For anyone looking for a steady hand to manage your organization’s training program, please talk to Angie first!”
Nikki, Principle User Research
“”Passionate” is too weak a word to describe Angie. In all our collaborations and interactions together, Angie went above and beyond to do the best for her people and her stakeholders. In addition to sourcing high-caliber experts for learning and development opportunities that teams requested, Angie also looked for other educational opportunities based on her knowledge of the teams and the cultural state at Blizzard. Angie spearheaded a company-wide design mentorship program, leveraging Design Managers from across multiple game teams to ensure the Design culture at Blizzard thrived. She is a rock star, constantly looking to push for being great, rather than just good enough. If you are looking for a self-starter who is ready to do the leg work to get what needs to be done done and done well, Angie would be a great addition to your team.”
