As a creative, I’ve had the opportunity to work on many projects and many roles in the entertainment industry. Below are a few experiences I’d like to share that have shaped my skill set execution as a multi-faceted storyteller. If you’d like to see more, you can check out my IMDB here.

PRODUCTION/COORDINATION

With Hoplite Entertainment, I served as the production coordinator for the unscripted television series, “Wrecking Plan”, a show about what happens to airplanes when they are decommissioned. My responsibilities included creating daily call sheets, delivering payroll, hiring contractors, managing equipment and contracts and so on.

Additionally, I produced a few development reels for Hoplite, created one sheets for show concepts, and completed various tasks associated with location scouting, permit applications, union compliance, and equipment rentals.

SCREENWRITING/PRODUCING

Nothing gives you a crash course in film production more than producing your own work! I’ve enjoyed creating script writing for some time, and I decided to turn one of my short scripts into a 11-minute dystopian film. With a budget of 10k, the film TORCH chronicles the tough decision one father faces. This film received accolades at the annual Austin Film Festival, screened in eight global film festivals, and enjoyed a run on the Roku channel.

STUDIO TEACHING / LABOR BOARD COMPLIANCE

As the studio teacher/welfare worker for Goldieblox, a STEM-focused company that creates media and toys, I served as the “eyes and ears” of the labor board when it came to ensuring professional working standards for minors in the television, film, and media industries. Goldieblox was great! Furthermore, I got to learn from many female engineers and STEM specialists along while creating curriculum for some of the company’s special initiatives.

My first studio teaching job in the industry was for the Make-A-Film Foundation– an organization that helps kids with terminal medical conditions create short films. It was a great opportunity to lend my talents to helping a young adult achieve his dreams! Check out the trailer to that youth’s film on the far right. Additionally, I’ve worked with everyone from collegiate filmmakers to animation and video game studios to creative ad agencies to ensure compliance and safe working conditions for minors in the entertainment industry. Here are just a few more clips of projects that I contributed to and learned some production best practices along the way!
